The Pre-Karate/Kinder classes are 30 minutes long and are upbeat, fast pace classes that focus on listening skills and basic safety skills while learning karate. The Pre-Karate class is designed for 3-5 year olds and cost $69.00 a month for two 30 minute classes a week.

Kinder Karate classes are 45 minutes long and build on the skills learned in the Pre-Karate program. The children, while learning karate skills, also learn a wide variety of safety skills such as listening skills, fire safety, stranger danger, phone safety, computer safety, what to do when they are lost, and many, many more. Classes are 2-3 times a week for 5-7 year olds and cost $99.00 a month.

The Family Karate Center has been strongly supportive of the Homeschooling population in Lane County. We offer morning classes for both all age groups even the parents! Because we recognize that homeschooling is a sacrifice that often involves the families choosing to be single income, homeschoolers that train in the morning classes receive a tuition discount. The Family Karate Center is also a P.E. provider for several charter/homeschooling schools in Lane County. At the Family Karate Center it is our goal to provide karate for those in our community that have developmental and physical challenges. We modify the curriculum to adjust for limitations or challenges to maximize success. If there are mobility or vision issues we will help give other options for personal protection strategies to meet the students where they are at and challenge them to increase their skills. Depending on needs, we can either integrate the student into the general beginning classes or provide classes specifically for this part of our community.

Our karate program for karate kids is varied in its material with fitness, personal protection, martial artistry, and sport karate all being taught during our 45 minute classes. No matter what fitness level your child has, they can take karate here and get stronger, more confident, safer, improve performance in other sports, and become a black belt. The Family Karate Center helps students build their skills and physical abilities and work on their character in ways you thought could never happen. Our karate program for the Teen & Adult is varied in its material with fitness, personal protection, martial artistry, and sport karate all being taught during our hour long classes. No matter what fitness level you have, you can take karate here and get stronger, more confident, safer, and become a black belt. The Family Karate Center helps students build their skills and physical abilities and work on your character in ways you thought could never happen.  

Tuition for one hour class for unlimited times a week is $115.00 per month. Tuition for 45 minute classes is $99.00 a month.
