COUNT ME IN KARATE

At the Family Karate Center it is our goal to provide karate for those in our community that have developmental and physical challenges. We modify the curriculum to adjust for limitations or challenges to maximize success. If there are mobility or vision issues we will help give other options for personal protection strategies to meet the students where they are at and challenge them to increase their skills. Depending on needs, we can either integrate the student into the general beginning classes or provide classes specifically for this part of our community.

The Family Karate Center’s name says it all. This karate school is completely focused on building strong families- from preschoolers to adults. Not only does Sensei Elida (the owner and manager) teach the technical aspects of karate, she also instructs her students with important character qualities, such as compassion, respect for others, and perseverance.
